We are committed to providing a safe and controlled environment for all participants. This includes complying with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards, and maintaining safe systems of work across all areas of our operations.

Our Commitment

We aim to minimise risk by identifying, eliminating, isolating, or reducing hazards that could result in injury, illness, or property damage.


All staff, contractors, and supervisors share responsibility for maintaining a safe environment.

Staff & Responsibility

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high standards of customer safety
  • Effective hazard identification and management
  • Housekeeping and hygiene
  • Competency training
  • Accurate reporting and recording of incidents

Risk Management

We implement specific strategies across key areas:


Customers
All staff are trained in operating procedures to ensure the safety of participants and visitors at all times.


Environment
Procedures are in place for fire, earthquake, and other emergency situations, with regular staff training.


Equipment
All karts and equipment are regularly maintained, with servicing records, safety checks, and staff training documented.


Emergency Response
Staff are trained in first aid and emergency procedures. First aid equipment is available on-site, and all required safety systems are maintained.

Compliance and Legal Requirements

Daytona Indoor Raceway operates in accordance with all relevant regulatory requirements to ensure a safe and compliant indoor go-karting environment.


We maintain all necessary certifications, inspections, and permits required to operate an indoor go-karting facility.

Regulatory Complaince

This includes:

  • Certification of registration issued by the appropriate regulatory authority
  • Engineering certification for amusement devices, carried out by a registered engineer holding a current practising certificate
  • Permit to operate an amusement device issued by the Palmerston North City Council

All certifications and approvals are kept current and subject to regular review.
